Holy smokes!  Just when I didn’t possibly think I could have more fun playing with one of the new bundles in the Occasions Catalog, I received the Magical Day Bundle.  I’ve had my eye on this set since the day I first laid eyes on it.  However, I was trying to be all practical and stuff by ordering more versatile sets.  But this one just kept calling my name as I would browse through the catalog.  SO I listened to that little voice in my head and broke down and ordered it.  I am SO stinking happy I did!  These four cards came together pretty darn quick and I’m NOT finished playing…YET.

OK onto today’s card.  When I first opened the Magical Mates Framelits, I saw a die that I had NO idea what it was at first.  To me, it looked like the bottom of a snow globe.  However, it turned out to be a banner die!  LOL I just could not get the idea of a snow globe out of my head… so came about this card.  I used the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Paper along with the banner die to create the bottom of the snow globe.  I then cut a 3″ circle of Bermuda Bay and a 2 3/4″ circle of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper using my Layering Circles Framelits.  The little “stars” up by the sentiment were cut out using one of the dies from the framelits.  I colored the fire breathing dragon in with Daffodil Delight (light & dark) and Bermuda Bay (light and dark) Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the fire using Light Cherry Cobbler and Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  The finishing touches on the card are a sweet little bow using my new favorite Whisper White Organza Ribbon AND Clear Wink of Stella was brushed onto the entire dragon and his fire.
