Dimensions
Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Envelope – Seal envelope. Trim 1/4″ off each end. Score at 1/2″ on both sides, 1″ on the bottom. Using the Ticket Tear Border Punch, punch top edge. (Details on how to fold pouch can be found in the video tutorial below.
Old Olive CS – 2 1/2″ scalloped circle
Whisper White CS – 2 3/8″ stitched circle, scrap to stamp and cut bear and bees
I kept the bear as a tag for the front of the treat pouch to either write a short note, or to stamp a sentiment in.
I just love how all 3 turned out! The elephant uses Basic Gray CS, Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration item), and the Hexagons Embossing Folder. The lion uses Crumb Cake CS, Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, and the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder.
Details
As I was perusing through Pinterest, I ran across a few different tutorials for using an A2 envelope to create little treat bags. This set of bags was inspired by a treat bag that Angie Juda had created a few years back. I changed my scoring to make the bag a bit longer. I finally broke down and ordered the A Little Wild Bundle after seeing SO many stinking cute projects and cards created with it. BUT I hadn’t pulled it out to play with till I found these treat bags. Instead of cutting off the back portion of the stamped/die cut image, I kept it on to create a little tag on the front of the bag. After scoring the envelope, I embossed it using the Woodland Embossing Folder. Top edge was created using the Ticket Tear Border Punch. The background on the stitched circle was sponged using Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz inks. The little bear was colored in using my Stampin’ Blends Light & Dark Crumb Cake, and Dark Pink. The bees were colored in using Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter. After coloring the images, I brushed over them with Clear Wink of Stella. Love the shimmer!! I couldn’t leave off ribbon, so grabbed my Old Olive Stitched Edge Ribbon, wrapped it around the bag and tied it in a knot.

Adorable little treat bags with the stamped critters on them. I am so surprised that you can make a treat bag from an envelope that I can’t wait to try this out. Thanks Jen for the inspiration. :o)
