As most of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of following sketch challenges when creating my cards. SO the other day, as I was searching for some card sketches to play along with, I ran across the MOTHER LOAD of card sketches over on the MFT (My Favorite Things) website. There are 367 sketches total to download in 8 different PDF files. Of course, I downloaded ALL of them! LOL After downloading them, I decided to challenge myself to create 1 card per day starting with sketch 367 and working down to sketch 1. Guess I’ll be busy over the next YEAR!! Maybe it’s a late New Year’s resolution?
This is sketch #367, which was a bit challenging for me and I wasn’t feeling good about my new commitment to create 1 card per day. However, after digging through my stamp and paper stash, I FINALLY came up with a combo that I could work with! YAY!! I ended up using the SUPER cute paper from the 6×6 Tutti-Frutti DSP stack along with the Bird Banter stamp set. The little red dots are the Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes that I colored using the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker. The balloon was colored using Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then brushed with Clear Wink of Stella, and finally covered with Fine Tip Glue Pen which acts like liquid glass. The balloon was cut out and popped up for extra dimension. The bird was colored using Dark Cherry Cobbler, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends. When I colored over the Dark Bermuda Bay with the Dark Daffodil Delight, it turned out just the perfect color of green for the card!

Was thinking… If anyone would be interested in doing my sketch a day challenge with me, I could start a FB group where we could post our cards as we finish them. Anyone down? If so, leave me a comment in this post and I’ll get one started!
